Recoil is one of the biggest learning curves in the game whether it is the subtle recoil in the Custom SMG or whether it is the worst recoil with the Assault Rifle. In this guide I am going to show you some tips on how to control some of the worst recoils in the game these guns include the (AK, LR, M249, MP5, and Python) . All of these tips will most likely be the same except for the Python and M249.
1. Assault Rife
The assault rifle or better known as the ak47 is one of the most challenging recoils to learn in the game. This gun is also a tier 3 weapon, this means you aren’t gonna get it for some time unless you kill or raid someone for it.

The two pictures above are what you are going to reference to when trying to get better with any gun whether it is the AK or Thompson this tactic gives you an idea of how you should move your mouse. Another tip that you should use when trying to get better with recoil is to put a 4x on your gun it doesn’t matter what gun it is. Doing this gives lets you practice your hand control and makes you move your hand more, so you get a idea of how to move your mouse even better. For example, lets say you put a 4x on your ak this will double how much you have to move your arm, by doing this it gives you a large idea of how to move your mouse, now all you to do is move your arm less and more precisely when you don’t have the 4x on the gun.
2. LR-300 Assault Rifle
The LR is the weaker and more noob friendly version AK, the only down side of the gun is the damage but what makes it a viable option is how much less recoil there is

The recoil for LR is similar to the MP5 where the first 5 shots only go up this makes it really easy to use with a 4x, doing this also allows you to shoot people from 100+ meters. Like every other gun you just need to practice, the LR can be bought for scrap at bandit this gun is usually frowned upon because it doesn’t take that much skill to use, so keep that in mind when using a LR with a 4x
3. M249
The M249 is the best gun in the game whether that is its 100 round magazine or its range, but like every thing in rust it has its downsides some include its long reload time, recoil that shoots up to the moon, or just how difficult it is to find either way this gun is what you want in rust.

The M249 has the easiest recoil in the game, all you have to do is pull down what you might have to do depending on what your in-game sensitivity is, is you might want to have a dpi button so when you have the M249 you crank it up so it is easier to use. Another thing you can do with M249 is put a 4x on it, since the M249 is only a pull down is makes it super easy to shoot at distances from over 200 meters and if you really want to be a nuisance to people you can tap it. Every time you tap it, it goes back to the spot it was originally at so as long you don’t tap to fast it is almost like a sniper with no recoil.
4. MP5A4
The MP5 is a craftable military-grade smg that is good from close to medium range. The recoil for the MP5 is similar to the LR this means that the first few bullets only go up so this makes it more viable to burst instead full spray.

The first couple seconds of the MP5s spray are manageable because it just goes up, but after that it get a bit crazy you have to move your hand pretty quickly because each turn in the recoil pattern is super fast this is because how fast the gun is shooting. The best way to get better with the MP5 would be to burst it until you can control the burst and then move on to the turns.
5. Python
The Python with its high damage and RPM makes it easily one of the best guns in the game. Just for comparison the Python does more damage than the AK, this just shows how good the python is especially since it is a tier 2 gun. The Python automatic but it does have some recoil when you shoot it goes up decently high so you just have to accommodate for that when trying to shoot people.
